Dental Hygienist - PRN

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits.
• Provide oral hygiene and postoperative instructions to patients and answer their questions.
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, document dental hygiene services, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, and conserve dental resources.
• Ensure proper functioning of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Requirements

• Unrestricted current Dental Hygiene license, certification or registration in state of practice.
• Must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.
• Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHACurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving ACLS certification through AHA.
• Two (2) years’ experience.
• Previous correctional/detention facility experience.
• Five (5) years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygienist school.
