About the role
This is an amazing opportunity for a new grad or recent Dental Hygienist to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Supporting the team in providing comprehensive oral healthcare services.
- Reviewing patient's medical and dental history.
- Proficiency with taking high quality X-rays and becoming proficient in high resolution digital imaging.
- Educating patients about oral health, oral hygiene, and oral-systemic connections.
- Documenting areas of existing restorations, identifying potential areas of concern, and using co-diagnosing to educate.
- Administering prophylactic, periodontal scaling, and delivering antimicrobial agents.
- Conducting oral cancer, saliva, caries risk screenings and recommending treatments and therapies.
- Training to become proficient in digital scanning, leading edge diagnostic and periodontal therapies, and technologies.
- Collaborating with a team of medical and dental providers for the benefit of patient outcomes.
- Educating patients on treatment plans, insurance, and collecting payments.
- Participating with the business team on managing and accounting for hygiene schedules.
- Keeping a positive rapport with patients and team members.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Hygienist license required.
- Current BLS/CPR certifications.
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training.

- Strong communication skills and knowledge of overall dental health for patient education.
- Willingness and ability to learn therapy treatments through training at the practice.

Pay
Hourly rate ranging from $60-65 based on experience and skills.
Schedule
A consistent 4-day workweek with Wednesdays off! Lunch break typically from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, but may be adjusted occasionally based on the day's schedule and patient needs.
