We are seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team at Brighton Park Dental Care, located at 1264 Nexton Pkwy Summerville, SC 29486. We believe oral health is essential to overall health, and we're passionate about prevention, education, and empowering our patients. Our hygiene team plays a vital role as educators and clinicians, helping patients understand the connection between oral and systemic health while preventing disease before it starts. We are committed to practicing at the top of our license and utilizing advanced technologies including lasers, AI, and innovative therapies like Myofunctional Therapy, Curodont and PerioStom to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided.
Practice Philosophy
Our practice is evolving into a functional dental practice, integrating functional medicine interventions, airway-aware dentistry, myofunctional therapy, sleep-disordered breathing evaluations and counseling, and guided growth and interventions for pediatric patients. We are seeking a hygiene provider who is open to this philosophy, eager to learn, and excited to help render these modalities with our patients.
