Dental Hygienist

About the role

As a Dental Hygienist at Artistic Smiles, you'll be recognized as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate. You'll be an integral member of the patient care team, giving your patients the time and care they need, deserve and desire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services including oral exams, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
• Document patient medical histories and dental examinations accurately and efficiently.
• Use advanced dental technologies such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
• Offer preventive care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education to enhance clinical skills.
• Attend periodic virtual training sessions or in-person training as required.

Requirements

• Current dental hygienist license in Arkansas and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required).
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

• A desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health.

Pay

$40-$45 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional Fridays required for training.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
