Dental Hygienist
About the role
Wedgewood Square Dental is seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join their team. The schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients
- Document patient histories and dental screenings accurately
- Use advanced dental equipment and technologies
- Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care
- Participate in ongoing continuing education to enhance clinical skills
- Support the practice manager and team in maintaining a collaborative and supportive environment
Requirements
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
Qualifications
- Open to new graduates or experienced Hygienists
- Experience with preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
