Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings and preventive hygiene procedures
- Conduct patient assessments including periodontal charting and oral health evaluations
- Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations
- Assist the dentist with diagnosing and developing treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow all infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed during their visit
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Dental Hygienist license
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-oriented mindset
