Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Apply fluoride and sealants
• Complete oral cancer screenings and assess periodontal disease
• Select appropriate materials and equipment based on patient evaluations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
• Document services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records
• Ensure sterilization of dental equipment
• Take x-rays as needed and recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Past experience in following outlined policies and guidelines
• A professional and positive attitude
• A valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Connecticut
• Availability to work within the office's current schedule: Monday - 9AM-5PM, Tuesday - 9AM-5PM, Wednesday - 9AM-5PM, Thursday - 9AM-5PM, Friday - 9AM-4PM, Saturday - 9AM-2PM E/O

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
