New London Dental Care is an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut dedicated to providing quality dental and personal care in a welcoming environment. The office employs specialists in various dental fields and offers exceptional care across Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilize equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Possess a professional and positive attitude
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:
• Monday - 9AM-5PM
• Tuesday - 9AM-5PM
• Wednesday - 9AM-5PM
• Thursday - 9AM-5PM
• Friday - 9AM-4PM
• Saturday - 9AM-2PM E/O
