Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease through oral cancer screenings, gum examinations, and probing for periodontal issues
• Select appropriate materials and equipment based on patient's oral health
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
• Document dental hygiene visits by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records
• Ensure sterilization of dental instruments
• Take x-rays as needed and recommended by the American Dental Association

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow policies and guidelines
• Professional and positive attitude
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Availability to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:
• Monday 9-5
• Tuesday 9-6
• Wednesday 8-5
• Thursday 9-6
• Second Saturday of the month 9-1

Qualifications

• Dental office experience preferred
• Dentrix Ascend software experience preferred

Pay

Up to $135,000 annually
