Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
- Apply fluoride and sealants
- Complete oral cancer screenings and assess gum health
- Select appropriate materials and equipment based on patient needs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
- Document services and chart patient information
- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment
- Take x-rays as needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to follow policies and guidelines
- Professional and positive attitude
- Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
- Valid Connecticut Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
- Availability to work during specified office hours
