Dental Clinic Aide Casual
About the role
HealthPartners is hiring a casual Dental Clinic Aide at our White Bear Lake Dental Clinic.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a health care, customer service, or service industry setting
- Compliant with the minimal requirements outlined in Minnesota Administrative Rules 3100.8400 assistants without a license
- Ability to perform as a team composed of dentists, hygienist, dental assistants and clerical staff
- Ability to maintain workflow despite interruptions
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Demonstrated communication skills, including appropriate use of grammar and spelling
- Demonstrated strong time management, priority-setting and organizational skills
- Detail Oriented
- Proficiency in English required
- Proficiencies in other languages may be required
- One year work experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Graduate of accredited dental assisting program
Physical Requirements

- Lift, reach, bend, climb, and transport items

- Visual acuity
Accountabilities
- Able to perform all duties as outlined in Minnesota Administrative Rules 3100.8400 assistants without a license
- Responsible for knowledge and performance of clinical emergency procedures
- Responsible for implementing and/or following all policies, procedures and treatment guidelines, including but not limited to patient privacy and confidentiality policies
- Assists providers directly in all phases of dental care delivery
- Responsible for the proper maintenance of dental equipment and supplies
- Uses appropriate systems to record and maintain accurate patient records and other information
- Responsible for awareness of the daily activity in the clinic and/or to provider staff being supported
- Responsible for schedule management, patient follow-up and related processes
- Performs other related duties as directed by the Dental Lead or Clinic Management Team
