Dental Care Coordinator, School of Dental Medicine
About the role
The School of Dental Medicine is seeking a Dental Care Coordinator. UB Dental is a vital part of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a teaching facility, we offer our dental students the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages. In addition, we are a safety net for the Buffalo-Niagara region, providing dental care for thousands of people each year throughout the community.
Responsibilities
- Review patient management with student providers.
- Oversee patient assignments, case transfers, treatment plan accuracy, and approval of conditional treatment codes.
- Monitor student progress toward graduation by tracking RVUs, CPEs, and clinical performance reports.
- Verify financial components of treatment plans and ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
- Address student and patient issues, including direct patient communication when required.
- Participate and coordinate student orientation, senior checkout, and serve on clinical committees as needed.
- Cookordinate and support faculty group directors on projects and initiatives.
- Perform other tasks assigned by clinical leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Three years’ experience in a dental office management role, dental assisting, or dental hygiene
- Basic computer skills

- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a higher education setting

Salary Range
$48,000 - $56,000
