Dental Assistant (X-Ray Certified)

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate dental care for patients based on individual, specific patient needs and according to dentist’s orders.
• Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
• Provide diagnostic information by taking all radiographs and quantity of radiographs deemed medically necessary by the clinical judgement of the treating dentist.
• Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments using four-handed dentistry.
• Maintain appropriate certifications and/or licensures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• DANB X-Ray Certification
• Knowledge of appropriate radiation techniques/procedures
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA policies
• Customer Service Experience – Friendly and helpful demeanor with patients and co-workers.
• Flexibility – Must adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.
• Ability to work well under stressful situations
• Must be available to travel to other locations to meet operational needs

Preferred, but not required: Knowledge of electronic dental records and practice management systems, specifically Denticon. Dental office experience.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:40 am – 3:00 pm (no lunch)
• Tuesday and Thursday 7:40 am – 5:00 pm

Pay

• $19 – $21/hour with $500 sign-on bonus
