As a Dental Assistant (X-Ray Certified), you'll be an important part of the Chord Specialty Dental Partners team, helping to deliver outstanding pediatric dental care. Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate dental care for patients based on individual, specific patient needs and according to dentist’s orders.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
  • Provide diagnostic information by taking all radiographs and quantity of radiographs deemed medically necessary by the treating dentist.
  • Assist with instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments using four-handed dentistry.
  • Maintain appropriate certifications and/or licensures.
  • Help maintain equipment, supplies, and the cleanliness and efficiency of the office.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Travel to other locations to meet operational needs as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • DANB X-Ray Certification.
  • Knowledge of appropriate radiation techniques/procedures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA policies.
  • Customer service experience with a friendly and helpful demeanor toward patients and co-workers.
  • Flexibility to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.
  • Ability to work well under stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronic dental records and practice management systems, specifically Denticon.
  • Dental office experience.

Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:40 AM – 3:00 PM (no lunch).
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 7:40 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay

$19 - $21/hour with a $500 sign-on bonus.
