Responsibilities
- updating patient records
- conducting X-rays
- recording periodontal charting
- preparing instruments
- performing preventative care
- assisting with infection control and sterilization
- may assist in orthodontic procedures
- performing lead duties such as managing department flow, training staff, and acting as a liaison
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification within 90 days
- Dental Assistant or EFDA registration
- bilingual in English/Spanish
- basic knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and infection control
- manual dexterity, professionalism, and proficiency with electronic records and Microsoft Office
