Dental Assistant - Relief - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Updating patient medical records and conducting X-ray procedures, including panoramic and intraoral images.
• Recording periodontal charting and preparing instruments for provider exams.
• Performing preventative care such as fluoride treatments and assisting with infection control and sterilization.
• Maintaining nitrous oxide analgesia (in Washington) under supervision.
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and assisting in orthodontic procedures, including obtaining records and fabricating retainers.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Dental Assistant Registration or EFDA certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) at level 10.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and oral health care.
• Manual dexterity and professional interaction skills.
• Proficiency with Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
