Dental Assistant-Queens

About the role

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team at our Queens location, helping provide top-notch dental services to Union members. Responsibilities

• Escort patients into dental treatment rooms and prepare them for the dentist.
• Prepare instruments and additional supplies for dental care and treatment.
• Assist the dentist by handling instruments and other supplies, suctioning, and irrigating as directed.
• Reassure patients as needed; assist with explanations and education.
• Dismiss patients when dental care and treatment are completed, assisting as needed.
• Clean the patient area of the dental treatment room, removing instruments and supplies to ensure readiness for the next patient.
• Discard disposable supplies, sterilize non-disposable instruments, and perform autoclave testing.
• Participate in quality assurance/risk management committee meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare setting.
• Certificate in Dental Assisting from an accredited school (required).

Pay

$61,872.60 per year.
