Dental Assistant - Pediatric Dental

About the Role

Support dental care delivery and provide patient assistance in a pediatric dental setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Assist dentists during procedures
• Expose radiographs and fabricate temporary restorations
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Welcome and comfort patients, educate on oral hygiene
• Assist with patient intake and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain dental supplies inventory
• Ensure equipment functionality
• Uphold infection control protocols
• Safeguard patient confidentiality

Requirements

• NYS Dental Assistant registration
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in chair-side assisting, sterilization, and infection control
• Familiarity with office software
• Willingness to work under a licensed dentist’s supervision
• Maintain current CPR certification
