Essential Functions
- Affords assistance to dental providers and hygienists in delivering dental-related services.
- Executes routine radiographic imaging as per Arizona Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate requirements.
- Performs child and adult prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants as per Arizona Coronary Polishing (CP) Certificate guidelines.
- Provides historical references by accurately and efficiently documenting treatments, correctly coding charges, preparing treatment plans on dental charts, and entering progress notes/treatment plans into patient files.
- Shares information with patients, including instructions, directions, and consents, as directed by dentists and hygienists.
- Instructs patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and clearly communicates treatment plans and fees to patients.
- Prepares and maintains all dental trays and instruments.
- Completes Instrument Processing: Level 2 Competency.
- Maintains the sterilization and cleanliness of dental equipment and keeps an inventory updated.
- Picks up, delivers, and updates the status of dental laboratory cases.
- Collaborates with dental back office and front office team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Travels to other Mountain Park locations as assigned, including potential location changes during shifts to support patient care as organizational needs dictate.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Dental Assistant Certificate.
- AZ Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate.
- AZ Coronary Polishing (CP) Certificate.
- Current CPR Certification.
