Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update patient medical records, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Perform complete patient X-ray procedures and manage digital records.
  • Prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for exams, ensuring infection control.
  • Provide preventative periodontal services such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under supervision and educate patients on oral hygiene.
  • Assist with orthodontic procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Support infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical areas.
  • Perform clinical duties in alignment with regulatory standards and assist as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, with BLS certification within 90 days.
  • Registered Dental Assistant or EFDA certification.
  • PREFERRED: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) at a high proficiency level.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and oral health education.
  • Strong manual dexterity, professional interaction skills, and proficiency with dental software and Microsoft Office.
