Dental Assistant - Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating patient medical records and vital signs
  • Performing X-ray procedures, developing and storing images electronically
  • Assisting with periodontal charting, preparing instruments and materials
  • Providing preventive care such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Monitoring nitrous oxide analgesia under supervision (Washington only)
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and infection control protocols
  • Assisting with orthodontic procedures and managing clinic operations as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and assisting in training staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BLS certification within 90 days
  • Dental assistant registration or EFDA certification
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish at a high proficiency level
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and oral health education
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform four-handed assisting
  • Proficiency with Electronic Dental Records and basic software tools
