Dental Assistant - (Float)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant - Float to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients in compliance with regulatory guidelines, collaborating with the dentist, and performing a variety of tasks including four-handed dentistry, patient management, sterilization, x-ray taking, inventory oversight, and clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Certification as a registered dental assistant in New York State preferred

Responsibilities

• Aid the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Seat and dismiss patients, maintain operatory and dental laboratory cleanliness
• Sterilize dental instruments, process radiographs
• Manage dental supplies inventory, conduct laboratory duties, and perform clerical tasks
• Utilize computerized systems for patient registration and other administrative processes
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as changing suction machine filters
