Essential Responsibilities
- Organizes the operatory, including preparing trays and instruments for dental procedures.
- Prepares and explains the dental procedure to the patient.
- Aids the dentist chairside with all dental procedures.
- Takes and develops intraoral/panorex/cephlometric x-rays, impressions and fabricates custom fluoride/bleaching trays.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
- Must pass national DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam within 30 days of hire or possess a record of passing the former Pennsylvania-specific radiology exam if qualified prior to 12/12/2009.
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Graduate of a certified dental assistant program preferred.
- One year experience in a dental practice/hospital setting preferred.
