Responsibilities

  • Support both the dentist and patients with a variety of tasks.
  • Aid in patient preparation, providing comfort and explaining procedures.
  • Offer clinical support during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing dental materials.
  • Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Ensure instruments are properly sterilized, and that the treatment area is clean and organized.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Expose and develop diagnostic dental x-rays and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dental operatory equipment.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as a Dental Assistant is desired.
  • Graduation from a Dental Assistant training program/technical school.
  • Additional training may substitute for required experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hours are flexible and can vary based on department needs, typically ranging from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
