About the Role

The Endodontic Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders
• Focus on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered
• Help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patient's go-to resource
• Welcome patients to the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments and post-op visits
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with payment procedures
• Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• At least X years of proven experience as a dental assistant, specialty is preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma
• Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
• Active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Nitrous certified (preferred)
