About the Role
The Endodontic Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders
- Focus on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered
- Help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patient's go-to resource
- Welcome patients to the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments and post-op visits
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with payment procedures
- Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- At least X years of proven experience as a dental assistant, specialty is preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma
- Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
- Active state radiology license (if required by law)
- Nitrous certified (preferred)
