Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets and escorts patient to assigned dental chair.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts, complete required paperwork.
- Aid the dentist during procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions).
- Apply sealants and complete child prophies.
- Takes and processes x-rays as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Ensure dental exam areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
- Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments.
- Monitor supplies for reordering.
- Observe and follow required safety protocols, including handling and disposal of sharps, use of personal protective equipment, exposure to blood-borne pathogens, and general safety of employees and patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A valid Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of Washington and proof of training is required at the time of hire.
- Experience in dental assisting preferred.

- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel over 2/3rd of the time.
- Reach with hands and arms 1/3rd to 2/3rd of the time.
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch less than 1/3rd of the time.
- Communicate by talking/hearing over 2/3rd of the day.
- Smell between 1/3rd and 2/3rd of the day.
- Lift or exert force up to 10 lbs. about 50% of the time.
- Lift or exert force up to 25 lbs. less than 1/3rd of the time.
- Rarely lift more than 26 lbs.
