Dental Assistant
About the role
Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. The professional will provide on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled and safe environment. This opportunity offers supplemental income and valuable experience in a public health setting while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and breakdown of room
- Sterilization of all equipment
- Take and process x-rays
- Assist in 4-handed dentistry
- Work with portable/mobile equipment
Requirements
- Graduate of a Dental Assistant Program or on-the-job training
- One (1) year or more of dental assisting experience (preferred)
- Active x-Ray Certification
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Driver License
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Some travel required
