Dental Assistant

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Children’s Choice works with orthodontists, general dentists, pediatric dentists, and anesthesiologists in modern, state-of-the-art facilities. Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays and intraoral (IO) photos
• Assists in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up, breaks down, and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charts patient's treatment and treatment plan with the doctor

Requirements

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification
• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification

Pay

$18.00 - $20.43 per hour (based on experience)
