About the role
Endodontic Associates of Illinois - Oakbrook Terrace is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join their busy specialty practice. They aim to improve the lives of their patients by providing a world-class specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders.
- Help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit.
- Welcoming patients to the dental office.
- Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort.
- Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements
- At least 1+ years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Well-organized and reliable.
- A high school diploma.
- A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law).
- An active state radiology license (if required by law).
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas.
- Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods.
- Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments.
- Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards.
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law).
