  • Participate in local community events, including school screenings and presentations to promote a positive image of Benevis.
  • Engage in morning huddles, recognize peers, and highlight examples of customer focus and collaboration.
  • Work primarily with pediatric patients, who make up 70% or more of our patient base.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
  • Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Take x-rays and save them to patient charts (dependent on location).
  • Ensure operational readiness of the hygiene bay and operatory rooms.
  • Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures.
  • Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste, and prepare impression materials.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
  • Assist professional dental staff with treatment, including:
    • Documenting patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient charts.
    • Suctioning, holding retractors, and suture cutting during surgical procedures.
    • Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression casts.
    • Fabricating custom impression trays.
  • Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent required.
  • X-ray certification preferred (requirements vary by State and practice).
  • Certified dental assistant credentials preferred (requirements vary by State and practice).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (location dependent).
  • Commitment to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
