About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their team. The role involves ensuring timely submission and payment of insurance and third-party claims, adhering to relevant regulations and payer requirements. This position contributes to strong cash flow and enhances patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Pre-adjudication and follow-up of claims
• Facility and professional claims management
• Submission and payment of commercial and government payer claims
• Ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve billing issues
• Updating and maintaining accurate claim data in electronic health records systems

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Moderate proficiency with personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD)
• Experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment preferred
• Knowledge of Health Information Systems (e.g., Epic) is beneficial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and coding
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and payer requirements
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures
