Demolition Labor

Duties and responsibilities

• Aid Water Restoration Technician with demolition needs on jobsites.

Position expectations

• Self-motivated
• Maintain a well-groomed professional appearance
• Project a positive and professional attitude
• Have general demolition experience and set up equipment correctly
• Interact with customers and insurance professionals as needed
• Identify and correct safety hazards on loss sites
• Carry a cell phone at all times (company or personal)
• Be “On-Call” and respond to emergency calls in a timely manner
• Understand and follow instructions from Water Technician in charge
• May require overtime
• Flexible schedule

Other duties

• File job-related paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• General demolition experience required
• Knowledge of common residential building construction preferred
• Knowledge of practical use of water extraction and drying equipment practices preferred
• Pass background check

Experience

• General demolition experience required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Working environment/physical activities

• Ability to perform tasks on all areas of a loss site
• Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet and crawl for distances up to 60 feet
• Ability to work in attics for extended periods of time
• Ability to safely operate various power tools

Pay and benefits

• Pay rate: $20 per hour, based on experience
