Demand Planning Systems Analyst

This role plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence by analyzing business processes to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and elevate the customer experience at Smithfield.
Responsibilities
- Leads and supports all phases of system implementation by validating upgrades and new tools against business requirements and ensuring accurate system mapping.
- Manages system configurations that influence performance and data accuracy, guiding users through new functionality rollouts and acting as the primary contact for demand planning system communications.
- Develops and deploys dashboards and trackers using Excel Power BI and supply chain software to deliver actionable insights, supporting KPI tracking and conducting ad hoc analysis to inform business decisions.
- Drives system-based process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and data visibility while collaborating with planners and managers to evaluate planning risks and implement forward-thinking solutions that optimize performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced analytical thinking, strong organizational and decision-making abilities, and effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills suited for both operational and executive level audiences.
- Success in building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Skilled in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team, in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of consumer goods production operations and supply chain management principles preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Power BI and Anaplan experience preferred.
Skills
