Demand Planner
About the role
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and refining account-level demand and shipment forecasts to support accurate financial revenue planning and supply chain decision-making. This role combines statistical modeling, cross-functional collaboration, and system expertise within Planning tools to align demand signals with ongoing business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and refine account-level demand and shipment forecasts, incorporating historical trends, customer inputs, and market intelligence.
- Translate demand plans into financially aligned revenue forecasts, ensuring alignment across Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Actively contribute to and help lead the S&OP process, including demand reviews, scenario planning, and consensus alignment.
- Utilize Kinaxis RapidResponse to build, maintain, and enhance demand planning models, perform scenario simulations, and support decision-making.
- Apply and continuously improve statistical forecasting models (e.g., time series, regression), monitoring forecast accuracy, bias, and key performance metrics.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to incorporate promotions, customer strategies, and market dynamics into forecasts.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to track forecast performance, revenue attainment, and key KPIs.
- Analyze forecast variances, identify root causes at the account and SKU level, and drive corrective actions.
- Support new product launches, customer onboarding, and lifecycle management with data-driven demand and revenue planning insights.
- Ensure data integrity and governance across planning systems and continuously improve planning processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, statistics, economics, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics (mid-level experience preferred).
- Proven experience with account-level demand and shipment planning, including alignment to revenue and financial plans.
- Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse (or similar advanced planning systems), including scenario modeling and demand planning modules.
- Strong understanding of S&OP / IBP processes and cross-functional alignment.
- Demonstrated experience applying statistical forecasting techniques and interpreting outputs for business decisions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including advanced Excel and Power BI (required/preferred).
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and building scalable reporting solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in CPG, retail, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.

Pay
Base pay is $91,000.00 - $151,000.00 annually, with a range of $101,000.00 - $167,000.00 for candidates in California and the New York metro area.
Schedule/Location
Hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday–Thursday at the West Hills, CA office; remote Monday and Friday.
Physical Requirements
General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office. Potential international and domestic travel.
Environment
Temperature-controlled office. Exposure to disagreeable elements is minimal.
