Demand Planner
Oldcastle Infrastructure, the leading provider of utility infrastructure throughout North America, is seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience by having the right products in the right place at the right time. The role works closely with manufacturing, distribution, and sales to match capacity and inventory with demand and create an efficient production plan across many high-volume SKUs.
Responsibilities
- Manage a production plan based on sales demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements to meet customer service goals.
- Develop strategic vision to effectively improve overall forecasting accuracy, demand planning effectiveness, and optimize inventory levels to increase customer service levels.
- Implement robust process to connect Sales and Operations that results in growth opportunities through maximizing site network capacity.
- Analyze longer term demand to make recommendations which address any production capacity surplus, under-utilization, or constraint deficits.
- Statistical analysis of sales data history to identify trends, sourcing improvement opportunities, and ability to level load production.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing in coordinating new product launch, transition, and/or discontinuation of products.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Service Managers, and Transportation teams to address issues through continuous improvement in the order fulfillment process.
- Maintain key performance metrics surrounding production planning and plan attainment, as well as keep up to date various key data fields within the ERP system that drive planning.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in demand planning while delivering above average customer experience.
- Proven track record of managing a large number of SKUs in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop production plans and inventory strategies while effectively communicating recommendations to executive management.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Familiarity working in ERP systems; NetSuite/SAP experience preferred.
- Data mining and analytical skills with an above-average proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 5 years' experience in a planning or similar role.
- Advanced degree in related field accepted in lieu of 3 years' experience.
- BS degree in supply chain, operations management, business related field highly preferred.
- In-field work experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Lean Six Sigma preferred.
- Project Management preferred.
- CPIM certification a plus.

Pay
Base salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year.
