Responsibilities
- Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts using statistical models and business intelligence.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor forecast performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools to manage demand planning processes.
- Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management and Supply Chain teams to align demand plans with business objectives and qualitative information.
- Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings to present forecast insights, recommendations and consensus planning to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Partner with supply planning, procurement, and operations teams to ensure demand signals are effectively communicated throughout the supply chain.
- Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting models and processes.
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality and streamline planning workflows.
- Prepare regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and demand variability.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or related analytical roles
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas); Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools for visualization and reporting.
- ERP & Planning Systems: Proficiency in tools like Kinaxis, SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, or similar demand planning software; Experience with integrated ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Demand Forecasting & Statistical Modeling: Expertise in quantitative forecasting methods (e.g., moving averages, regression, time-series analysis); Ability to interpret historical data and apply predictive analytics.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain forecasts, assumptions, and risks to non-technical stakeholders; Skilled in presenting data-driven insights in an understandable way.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Works effectively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams; Builds strong relationships to align demand plans with business goals.
- Influencing & Negotiation: Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders for forecast assumptions and inventory strategies; Skilled at managing conflicts between demand and supply priorities.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and promotional impacts on demand; Ability to link demand planning to revenue and profitability goals.
