About the role
This is an on-site position supporting a prestigious client in demand planning and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve short- and long-range demand forecasts using historical sales data, customer input, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and business intelligence.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Production Planning, Procurement, and Finance to build a consensus demand plan that supports business objectives.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory performance, service levels, and demand variability; identify root causes of gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Support monthly S&OP and demand review processes by preparing forecast reports, presenting key assumptions, and highlighting risks, opportunities, and changes in demand.
- Collaborate with supply planning and operations teams to align demand requirements with production capacity, material availability, and inventory targets.
- Maintain planning master data, demand planning parameters, and forecast inputs within ERP, MRP, or advanced planning systems.
- Identify potential stockout, excess inventory, and slow-moving inventory risks and work cross-functionally to develop mitigation plans.
- Prepare recurring dashboards, reports, and executive summaries related to forecast performance, inventory health, and demand plan changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, tools, reporting, and cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, sales forecasting, or a related supply chain function.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, demand planning, or advanced planning systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and present planning recommendations clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
