Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the monthly S&OP Demand Review meetings, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of regional forecasts.
- Analyze, challenge, and track current and future forecast changes and their impact on supply within a 1 to 36-month window.
- Consolidate regional forecasts and analyze demand versus supply; develop a global demand versus supply reconciliation methodology.
- Work closely with regional forecasters to understand timing, communicate projected shortages and excess inventory, and suggest solutions to mitigate inventory challenges.
- Act as a key participant in the S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment and providing insights to improve the process.
- Support the release process for global consolidation and ensure timely communication for prorate notification to Sales Planning in collaboration with Supply Chain Planning.
- Partner with sales planning to ensure accurate and timely product allocation reviews on open orders and with the sales team to utilize excess inventory.
- Conduct business analysis, including Product Lifecycle (PLC) review, Safety Stock review, Product Allocation (PA) review, Excess Inventory review, and market share growth projects.
- Provide actionable insights to support operations, marketing, and sales strategies.
- Align capacity planning with demand to ensure optimal resource utilization by collaborating with operations and supply chain teams.
- Identify market trends to anticipate and suggest appropriate stock levels; communicate prorates and supply trends to Sales Data Planning (SDP).
- Collaborate with SDP to understand sales trends and dynamics and their impact on supply planning.
- Optimize factory capacity with the Regional S&OP Manager to meet customer demand.
- Communicate with urgency and provide concise analysis of gaps between supply and demand to stakeholders, including Regional S&OP Manager, Marketing, SDP, and Sales.
- Identify process gaps driving repeat offenses in supply level metrics and study quality parameters, trends, and stock levels to identify root causes using quantitative support.
- Manage team resources by evaluating skills and interests, provide training to meet current and future goals, and review historical data to proactively anticipate trends and staffing levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles.
- Experience with S&OP processes and tools.
- Knowledge of market analysis and business strategy development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in demand planning mathematics, software, and tools.
- Ability to create SQL/Excel files for complementary analyses.
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools or reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functionally to drive process improvements.
- Experience with MPR/ERP systems (JD Edwards/JDE, SAP, or Oracle).
- Proficient in a Windows-based PC environment (PowerPoint, Word, Excel required).
- APICS or another relevant certification is advantageous.
