About the role

The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high-quality customer service.

What you’ll do

  • Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment ranging from 10 lbs – 160 lbs as part of daily deliveries and setups
  • Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes
  • Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
  • Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life-sustaining needs
  • Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
  • Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
  • Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
  • Maintain supply components in patient profiles
  • Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs
  • Perform routine vehicle checks
  • Support additional duties as assigned

Required Abilities

  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and set-ups
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one-year of related work experience is required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program
