About the role
The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high-quality customer service.

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST (flexible)
On-Call Transparency
- On-call once every 3 to 4 weeks
- Rotation runs Monday–Sunday
- Paid an on-call stipend
- Paid from the moment you leave home for a call
- Overtime paid if on-call causes over 40 hours in the week
- Most callouts occur Saturday night and Sunday daytime
- Service radius up to 1.5 hours from the branch
- Most technicians take their trucks home unless they are unable
- Ability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and set-ups
- No experience required!
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program
- English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Willingness to learn

- Comfort entering patient homes
- Safely lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and set-ups
- Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes
- Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
- Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life-sustaining needs
- Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
- Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
- Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
- Maintain supply components in patient profiles
- Absorb equipment cleaning and minor repairs
- Perform routine vehicle checks
- Support additional duties as assigned
