Delivery Technician (Day Shift)

Job Description

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Delivery Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. You will support Vitalant's life saving mission by fostering relationships with hospital and vendor staff while transporting blood and blood product orders from Vitalant sites and blood drives to hospitals customers within critical time frames, providing quality service.

What to Expect

• Salary: $16.40 - $17.46 /Hour + Weekend Shift Premium 8%, when applicable.
• Dayshift Schedule Available: Thursday - Monday 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM (1 opening).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid in-state driver's license required.
• Minimum 6-months of customer service experience required.
• Driving Experience In a Business Environment Preferred.
• Prior inside delivery experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Good communication and customer relations skills in order to deal effectively with customers and staff.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal skills.
• Detail oriented to ensure accuracy on paperwork and ensuring all required processes are followed.
• Must be comfortable with mobile device/technology.
• Positive team-oriented attitude.
• Able to work independently with ability to make sound judgements.
• Willingness and judgement to escalate problems and issues to management as needed.
• Able to work on-call, various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Able to meet all physical requirements with or without accommodation.
• Must possess a good driving record.
• Travel within the blood center service area required.
