Responsibilities

  • Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to O'Reilly stores and/or distribution center in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, and deliver to the appropriate store.
  • Maintain a daily city route manifest for deliveries.
  • Be responsible for keeping the fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure.
  • Ensure the designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
  • Make deliveries according to set schedule and report any delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.
  • Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
  • Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
  • Clock in/out according to company policy.
  • Check fluid levels (oil, radiator, transmission, etc.) and log mileage prior to operating the vehicle each day.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
  • Ensure the fuel tank is filled, and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business.
  • Drive safely and defensively, and be familiar with accident report guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must have the legally required state driver's license and meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
  • Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Desired Qualifications

  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
