We are seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Delivery Professional to join our team at our Pawtucket, RI Service Center. Matthews International is a worldwide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal, and cremation caskets and other products to our funeral home customers.
About the role
This position is responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
Responsibilities
- Deliver new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
- Contribute to warehouse operations, assisting in tasks such as prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
- Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
- Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning).
- Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Physical Aspects / Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk, hear, and see.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment may be high.

Pay
$21 per hour.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday (Saturdays on rotation).
- Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
