About the role
WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a division of Tuff Shed, Inc., is recruiting for a Delivery Manager located at their plant.
Responsibilities
- Ensures customer interactions with drivers are positive and cultivates sales and marketing opportunities.
- Reviews driver’s daily schedules.
- Manages delivery scheduling team.
- PARTNERS WITH SALES ON CUSTOMER OPPORTUNITIES.
- Reviews driver pictures of deliveries, monitors GPS for unsafe driving behaviors, and responds to any driver-related issues.
- Ensures expense reporting is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensures compliance with all DOT rules and regulations.
- WORKS DIRECTLY WITH MECHANICS TO ENSURE ALL VEHICLES MEET DOT STANDARDS.
- Reviews daily driver logs to ensure compliance.
- Reviews added and removed items on driver’s schedules.
- FOLLOWS UP WITH ANY CUSTOMER CONCERNS.
- ENSURES REQUIRED PERMITS ARE IN PLACE.
- MANAGES THIRD PARTY CONTRACT DELIVERY SERVICES.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of customer service and delivery procedures.
- Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
- Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications required; experience in utilizing Customer Relations Management (CRM) software – including Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce.com, Goldmine or similar systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment.
- Ability to use arithmetic, mathematical, accounting and financial tools as they apply to Tuff Shed business.
- Reads, writes and understands instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form.
- Prepares written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for Tuff Shed.
- Effectively communicates at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public.
- Experience 5 years of experience in a management role in a logistics and supply chain environment.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or related field is preferred.
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND ACCEPTABLE MVR TRAVEL.
