Delivery Helper

As a Delivery Helper, you will load materials, navigate to job sites, prepare and restore the job site, and maintain the truck and equipment for the following day.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly OSHA and DOT safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck.
• Navigate routes to job sites.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute, or delegate as needed while collaborating with others.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Champion an inclusive working environment and empower others to bring their full selves to the workplace.
• Self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers and customers.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time.
• Constantly move while unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job sites.
• Frequently position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs while unloading and loading flatbeds.
• Must be able to communicate accurately with management and coworkers.
• Constantly work in an outside environment while making deliveries.
