Delivery Helper

About the role

1915 South owns and operates 30 Ashley stores and 3 distribution centers across the Southeast, including locations in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Virginia. The Delivery Driver and Delivery Helper are responsible for delivering, assembling, and installing products in customers’ homes or businesses with care, accuracy, and professionalism. This role ensures timely and safe transportation of products, provides positive customer experiences during delivery and setup, and complies with all company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value or fragile items to customers’ homes or businesses with exceptional care and professionalism
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery according to scheduled appointments
• Unpack, assemble, and install products (e.g., furniture, accessories) as per manufacturer guidelines
• Test functionality and confirm proper operation before leaving the site
• Provide courteous, professional, and positive experiences during delivery and setup
• Answer basic product questions and demonstrate usage when required
• Inspect items for damage before and after delivery
• Document and report any issues or discrepancies promptly
• Follow all safety protocols for lifting, handling, and transporting items
• Adhere to company policies and DOT regulations for driving and delivery
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and customer signatures
• Handle returns or exchanges according to company procedures
• Work closely with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
• Assist in training new team members when needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Physical Demands: Able to lift and maneuver furniture up to 150+ lbs. with assistance
• Work Environment: Retail Stores and Distribution Center
• Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays, as required
