Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the store.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car and then to the door of the customer.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes.

Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Verbal communication skills to process orders both over the phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and precise movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
• In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters including the walk-in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500 degrees or higher.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensory Requirements

• Talking and hearing on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
• Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Far vision and night vision for driving.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Walking: For short distances and durations, especially for delivery personnel.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed in an office at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Bulk product deliveries include cases weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray). During delivery, carrying pizzas and beverages.
• Pushing: Moving trays on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
• Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks such as changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist, especially at the pizza assembly station and front counter.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously in various directions, including above 72" and down to floor level.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift.
