Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Navigate using maps to locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
• Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.

Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including typing on a keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F or higher).
• Proximity to sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensory and Temperament Requirements

• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, including depth perception.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Capability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze/compile data, and make judgments/decisions.
