Delivery Driver Richmond VA
About the Role
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products and related supplies to customers throughout Virginia. This position plays a key role in ensuring our customers receive their products on time and in excellent condition while providing a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 16-foot refrigerated box truck while following company, safety, and DOT requirements.
- Deliver fresh flowers and related products to customers throughout assigned Virginia routes, including the Norfolk, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, Suffolk, and Lynchburg areas.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
- Load and unload products safely using appropriate equipment and handling practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle and report equipment or maintenance concerns.
- Navigate assigned routes using maps, GPS, and other available tools to support efficient delivery.
- Partner with the warehouse and distribution team to ensure products are properly prepared and delivered.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb in and out of a truck, and sit for extended periods. The position requires the ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience driving commercial vehicles, such as 16-foot box trucks or larger
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification; CDL is not required
- Acceptable driving record, subject to periodic review
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use maps and GPS for route planning and navigation
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays required. Start Time: 3:00 AM on Mondays; 3:30 AM Tuesday through Friday. End Time: Routes are completed upon finishing the assigned delivery route.
Other Information
Location: Richmond Distribution Team. Travel: Daily local and regional delivery throughout assigned Virginia territories. Work Arrangement: Onsite.
