Delivery Driver Part-time Seasonal
About the role
We are looking for a customer service-oriented driver to support our live events programming around Michigan. From May – October, we support over 70 events throughout Michigan with waste reduction and sustainability solutions. Our drivers are an integral part of supporting our clients' programs with delivery and removal of our enclosed cargo trailers or box trucks from event sites. This position is part-time and seasonal based on event schedules with hours varying based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Transports equipment in an enclosed cargo trailer or box truck to live event locations for delivery and pickup
- Customer communication upon deliveries to educate on proper equipment handling, loading and unloading procedures and safety requirements
- Performs all job duties in a friendly and courteous manner and adheres to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Prompt, reliable customer service
- Maintains serviceability and appearance of truck, equipment and inventory at all times while driving
- Properly completes all paperwork associated with equipment transportation, customer interactions and deliveries
Other Functions
- Aiding with the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers at a delivery location
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work outside in all weather conditions including, but not limited to: heat, humidity, cold, snow and rain
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work a varied work schedule during the event, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
